This gemstone has been cherished since ancient times; the Druids in Celtic cultures revered it as a sacred stone, believing it connected the physical and spiritual worlds. Smokey Quartz is also the national gem of Scotland, where it is called "Cairngorm" after the Cairngorm Mountains.
